We're thrilled to announce that Preservation Utah is now utilizing the POINT platform to revolutionize our volunteer program and track our community impact more efficiently!Volunteering with Preservation Utah has been a tradition for hundreds of individuals for generations.
Volunteers provide an important link to our community and assist in fostering greater awareness of our historic built environment and cultural resources.
Advantages include:
- Build your knowledge of architecture and learn the benefits of renovation and restoration of historic built environments.
- Make new friends with common interests.
- On-going training opportunities.
- Frequent access to private tours not otherwise open to the public.
- An annual Volunteer Appreciation Brunch.
Opportunities include:
- Guiding tours in historic buildings---Salt Lake City & County Building, Kearns (Utah Governor's) Mansion, Meditation Chapel, McCune Mansion, and others.
- Leading tours in historic homes during our annual neighborhood tours.
- Planning special events & day-of help.
- Researching various topics.

Interested in getting involved?
Volunteers can join us on the POINT platform in two ways:
- If you have already received an invitation to join us via email (this will come from POINT), please accept that invitation and complete your profile. Once this is done, you are officially in and can start signing up for volunteer opportunities.
- Go to pointapp.org and create an account. Once you have created your own account, search for Preservation Utah and request to join. Our team will receive a notification of your interest and accept your invitation.
You can access POINT by downloading the mobile app or logging in online.
There is a button on the top right of the website to Log In.
