About ReView Window Restoration

Established: 1993

Over the past three decades, the owners of Re-View have grown the business from a small job shop, to one of the largest manufacturers and restorers of historic wood and steel windows in the United States. We focus on large historically sensitive landmarks, performing the following work:

Custom Historic Wood Window and Door Manufacturing – We can match any design and detail to fabricate precise replicas. Our engineers use parts from existing windows or original architectural drawings as the basis of design. We can use any type of wood, a wide variety of glazing, custom hardware, and factory finishes.

Wood Window Restoration – We can add another 100 years to your existing wood windows by restoring every element of an existing window. Re-View uses a nine-step process to restore every window component. Stiles, rails, muntins, sills, frames and brickmold are restored using restoration epoxies, wood dutchmen, and replica component replacements. Re-View has several methods that can be used to upgrade the energy efficiency historic wood windows either through insulated glass conversion, energy panel integration, or storm windows.

Steel Window Restoration – We can make your rusty steel windows look new again so they will last for another 100 years. We do this by removing everything possible from the opening so it can be taken to our restoration facility to be blasted to sound metal. The blasting process removes all finishes and rust and provides an outstanding surface preparation for the adhesion of the new finishes. We can either reuse the existing glass or provide more energy efficient alternatives.

Historic Storm Window Manufacturing – we can manufacture custom wood and aluminum storm windows to upgrade the efficiency of a historic window. Our storm windows can be custom made to fit any existing window opening and include a variety of glazing from clear single pane to Low E insulated glass.

Field Restoration and Installation – Our craftsmen can manage the most complex projects, performing onsite restoration and installation. They are union carpenters so they can work on projects across the country. We install thousands of windows a year and can bring that kind of experience to your project.
