Memory Grove Park Walking Tour and Meditation Chapel Tour

At the base of City Creek Canyon, lies Memory Grove Park, and in it, Meditation Chapel. Memory Grove Park was purchased by Salt Lake City in 1902.

Formerly, it was an industrial mill area, on property originally part of the Brigham Young estate. In 1920, it became Memory Grove, dedicated to soldiers of World War I. Come learn more about the park's history and its many monuments and markers, including Meditation Chapel.

Walking tours of Memory Grove Park include the monuments of the park as well as the Meditation Chapel.

Registration is required. Click a date below to register. This tour is about an hour long. Face masks are optional.

Meditation Chapel

The Chapel is open on Wednesdays from 11 am to 1 pm in June, July and August. This is a walk up tour - no registration is required for this tour. This is a tour of the inside (one small room) of the chapel; this does not include a tour of the rest of the park.
